Job description
Test Automation Engineer - Banking, Trade Lifecycle vacancy for our Basel based client in the Banking sector.
Your tasks:
- Review existing test cases for trade management systems to identify areas for automation
- Design, implement and maintain automated test cases for functional, integration, and regression testing
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure test coverage for trade capture, settlement, risk management, and reporting
- Develop and maintain scalable and maintainable test automation frameworks aligned with industry best practices
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
- Monitor and analyse test results, report defects, and work closely with the team to resolve them
Your experience/knowledge:
- Experience in test automation, including designing and implementing automated test cases for complex systems in a banking environment
- Strong expertise with automation tools and frameworks (eg Selenium, TestNG, JUnit or similar)
- Hands-on experience with Scripting languages (Python, Java or C#)
- Experience with API testing (eg Postman or REST Assured) and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Language skills: English

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
