Job description

I am recruiting for an experienced Cloud Architect to work 1-2 days in Holland, remaining time remote.

As the Cloud Architect, you will work as part of an autonomous, multi-disciplinary team. You will be responsible for the foundation of applications that simply cannot fail. You will combine the robustness of Linux/Unix with the scalability of the cloud and the raw power of High Performance Computing (HPC) for complex financial calculations and risk modelling.

You will have strong experience of Linux (RHEL/Debian).

You will act as the authority on Linux security within the team. Ensure impenetrable OS configurations, Kernel optimisation, and seamless integration with Legacy Unix systems where necessary.

You must be certified in AWS or Azure and have experience building complex, multi-account environments.

You must also have experience with large-scale compute workloads, MPI libraries, and job scheduling and will know how to optimise storage (Lustre, NetApp) for high throughput.

Experience with security tooling (SIEM, EDR, Vault) is a must.

You will feel 100% responsible for the outcome. "Plan-Build-Run" is your natural habitat; as such, you participate in your team's on-call rotation.
