Job description
This is not a dashboard builder. It's a strategic function at the intersection of data, communication, and operational awareness. Your main responsibility will be to act upon "signals", i.e. communicate with business and technical stakeholders, translate them into actionale work items, and coordinate their follow-up. These signals range widely: client-reported issues, infrastructure events, maintenance windows, deployments, bug fixes, new deliveries. Your job is to give all of these a shape, a weight, and a voice.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain an operational intelligence framework that structures all incoming signals into a coherent information model.
- Define and track meaningful health scores derived from operational, infrastructure, and client data.
- Build dashboards in Grafana that communicate actionable insights - not just metrics - to the right audience at the right time.
- Identify gaps in data coverage and advocate for new instrumentation where signals are missing.
- Tailor outputs for different internal audiences: offshore teams, product leads, client-facing teams, and leadership.
- Act as a connector between departments, facilitating clear communication during incidents, releases, and maintenance windows.
- Work closely with engineers and product managers to improve how we instrument, store, and surface metrics using Prometheus and related tooling.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Writing skills?, * A creative, systems-level thinker who finds meaning in complexity and can communicate it simply.
- Strong analytical skills - you're comfortable working with raw metrics, defining what good looks like, and building models to track it.
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, or comparable observability/BI tooling (or genuine willingness to master them quickly).
- Ability to translate technical data into narratives and visuals that resonate with non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort operating in a small team environment where scope is broad and ownership is real.
- Strong communication skills - written, visual, and interpersonal.
- Familiarity with SQL or querying structured data sources is a plus.
- Someone who currently works and resides in the Netherlands.
