Senior DevOps Engineer - Reading - Hybrid - 6-Month Contract - Inside IR35
Lorien is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our client's agile team building a next-generation analytics platform on Microsoft Azure. This role mixes cloud engineering with hands-on software development, contributing directly to application features, CI/CD best practice, and secure, scalable cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and automate Azure architectures using Terraform Cloud, reusable modules, and IaC best practices.
- Use Python or C#/.NET to support feature delivery, workflow automation, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines/GitHub Actions).
- Work across data engineering, data science and trading teams, including ML workflows, event streaming and automated trading systems.
- Optimise and secure cloud environments, using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Splunk, and take part in an on-call rotation.
You'll Bring:
- Strong development skills (Python or C#/.NET) and experience delivering end-to-end features.
- Proven experience building pipelines for data, analytics, and ML environments.
- Deep Azure expertise across compute, identity, networking, and data services, plus strong Terraform knowledge.
- A security-first mindset, with experience in shift-left testing, code quality, and secrets management.
