Job description

This role forms part of the Service Strategy & Performance team who define, design and develop a tooling-aligned Service Management framework; with a focus on enhancing the end-to-end service value chain ('the digital experience') in line with ITIL and SIAM industry best-practice.

Playing a key role in performing the leadership and facilitation required to define, design and develop effective Service Management processes and architectures in line with wider business strategy; the role ensures that architectures are aligned to deliver streamlined service integration and management, enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery outcomes.

The candidate will play an influential role across the IT/OT architectural community to develop and embed Service Management architectures; and works closely with Service Management stakeholders and Product Owners in the development of integrated roadmaps, in line with target state Service Management architectures.

You will

  • Define, Design and Develop Service Management Architectures: Shape the direction and facilitation required to develop Service Management architectures that align tooling, data, process and capability design; working to enhance the end-to-end service value chain. Ensure that integrated architectural roadmaps consider dependencies and are appropriate for phased implementation. Contribute to the development of the Service Strategy and product planning by identifying strategic initiatives in line with target state architecture.
  • Governance of Service Management Architectures: Play an active role in architectural governance across the IT/OT enterprise to embed Service Management architectures. Responsible for the effective management of the Service Management Design Authority, ensuring alignment across tooling, data, process and capability designs; managing and resolving any design issues as they arise.
  • Process Architecture: Provide oversight to the activity required to define the target state Service Management processes and architecture across the IT/OT enterprise, as well as the associated Service Management process architecture deliverables including any low-level design(s). Ensure that process, governance and capability model designs are comprehensive yet proportionate, incorporating any control points as part of wider business requirements. Provide guidance on Service Management process design by utilising best-practice frameworks and industry trends. Promote and encourage innovation across the Service Management enterprise, to look for new answers and delivery of a fresh approach.
  • Service Architecture: Provide oversight to the activity required to establish standards and governance for service architecture across the IT/OT enterprise. Ensure that these standards align underpinning data architecture and taxonomy, and incorporate all elements needed to manage service delivery throughout the full-service lifecycle, in line with desired strategic outcomes. Play an influential role in embedding and assuring these standards across the wider IT/OT architecture community.
  • Vendor Integration & Onboarding: Facilitate the cross-functional working required to ensure patterns are in place to enable Vendor Integration that consider tooling, data and process interfaces; and that effective onboarding processes are in place that align with strategic service management objectives.
