Job description

A leading product transformation consultancy is seeking an experienced Interaction / UX Designer to support a high-impact programme within a major UK public sector organisation. This initiative focuses on improving digital services and user outcomes, likely within the circular economy portfolio. Why this role is exciting Opportunity to design meaningful, user-centred services with real-world environmental and societal impact Work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team delivering large-scale transformation, Design and deliver high-quality interaction and UX solutions across digital services Translate user research insights into clear user journeys and interaction patterns Create wireframes, prototypes, and design artefacts to communicate ideas Collaborate with product managers, developers, researchers, and stakeholders Ensure designs comply with GDS standards and best practices Contribute to service assessments and continuous improvement of live services Support development of scalable, reusable design patterns

Requirements

Proven experience as an Interaction or UX Designer in digital delivery environments Strong experience working to GDS standards on public sector or government projects Ability to design end-to-end user journeys for complex services Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams Strong prototyping skills (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar) Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills Experience in service transformation or redesign programmes

Contract: 6 Months | Day Rate: £400/day (Outside IR35) | Location: Manchester (fortnightly onsite) | Start: Immediate
