This Design Engineer position is with an established engineering business in the Ferndown area, working on bespoke mechanical product solutions within a specialist sector. They combine design and manufacturing capability, giving engineers exposure to detailed design, production support, and real-world product delivery in a collaborative team environment.
They're looking for a highly motivated Design Engineer to support the development and refinement of product concepts through detailed design and testing, ensuring functionality, reliability and manufacturability. Industry-specific experience would be an advantage, but training can be provided. What matters most is strong CAD capability, sheet metal/product design experience, and the ability to translate customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.
The Design Engineer role
As a Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing and refining product concepts through detailed design work and engineering support.
This Design Engineer role combines CAD design, product development, and day-to-day liaison with manufacturing, suppliers and customers. You'll be involved in producing buildable designs, supporting production through the shop floor, and helping maintain quality and environmental standards within your role.
Day-to-day responsibilities of a Design Engineer

Requirements
