Design Engineer

We are seeking a Design Engineer to join our growing design team, supporting projects across the design lifecycle. This opportunity offers exposure to a variety of equipment and processing solutions used within the liquid and powder processing industries., Design & Engineering

• Produce accurate 3D designs and technical drawings using SOLIDWORKS
• Maintain and amend existing designs
• Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to all design work
• Incorporate hygienic design principles within equipment designs
• Produce and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and track design changes
• Liaise with the process engineering team to align P&IDs with 3D models

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline (Minimum 2:1 classification preferred)
• Professional accreditation or progress towards accreditation desirable

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience with 3D design Ideally SolidWorks (or a similar package).
• Experience in mechanical design within engineering environments
• Knowledge of Design for Manufacture
• Understanding of engineering principles including loads and mechanical calculations
• Awareness of relevant industry standards and regulations
• Experience within food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, or industrial sectors would be beneficial
