Base pay rangeApplications Analyst - ARD1019567 - Home Based Purpose of the Role An exciting remote opportunity has arisen to join our IT Operations team as an Applications Analyst within the insurance market. This role handles all day-to-day queries from our Acturis/Open GI business users, providing expert guidance and supporting the business in improvement initiatives. There will also be project work collaborating with our new and existing business partners to achieve the optimum use of our Policy Administration System, Acturis/Open GI, to ensure regulatory and business requirements are met alongside best practice. What you will do This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all the following and more: Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of Acturis/Open GI to handle day-to-day enquiries from users of Acturis/Open GI to assist with: Defects and system errors Routine Queries Change requests Provide industry knowledge and technical systems expertise to assist brokers and partners in improving Acturis/Open GI to maximise productivity and revenue, by improving processes to increase their profitability. Assist in onboarding new businesses to the group Acturis/Open GI application, ensuring the business adopts best practice use of the platform. Provide expert guidance and support to business improvement initiatives. Assist in developing and managing software house relationships. Identify areas of improvement through reporting & analysis. Support users and business partners through system change, work alongside software houses to ensure a smooth transition from existing systems and minimise disruption to the business. Support system administration tasks and configuration changes. Develop and maintain a document template library. Who we are looking for This opportunity would suit someone who has experience of Policy Administration Systems in an Application Support capacity, within the insurance industry. Experience of Acturis/Open GI is preferred but not essential, as full training will be given to the successful applicant. If you have a strong background within Application Support either within the Insurance sector or across Financial Services, we welcome applicants with this experience. The successful applicant must be willing to work as part of a team and manage stakeholders at all levels. We are looking for those who may have: An understanding of the insurance market, and their systems and processes. Experience of working in a regulated environment. Good working relationships with software houses and clients/partners. Strong communication skills across all mediums. Technically competent and the confidence to build credibility amongst senior stakeholders. Requirements
