Job description
As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll be hands-on across the full delivery lifecycle, implementing features, contributing to engineering projects from design through to release, and working across multiple codebases as needed. You'll be supported by senior engineers and the wider team, but you'll also be trusted to take ownership of well-defined problems and deliver high-quality outcomes This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building robust, production-ready software, cares about quality and reliability, and wants to broaden their impact through collaboration, mentoring and continuous improvement.
What will you get involved in?
Implement features and contribute to the delivery of engineering projects, ensuring quality and timely outcomes.
Work across features of different sizes and contribute where the team needs you most, including across multiple codebases.
Build observability and controls into what you deliver (health checks, dashboards, alerting) so systems are reliable and supportable.
Break down work, raise risks early, and help remove blockers by working closely with teammates.
Pair with others, share context, and contribute to onboarding as an engineering buddy.
Communicate clearly and empathetically with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Help build a collaborative, no-blame culture where we learn and improve together.
Requirements
Experience contributing to engineering projects through implementation and delivery.
Demonstrated ability to improve code quality and reliability.
Strong full-stack capability, ideally JavaScript/TypeScript with Node.js and React.
Some experience with database design/integration (SQL and/or NoSQL).
Knowledge of testing approaches, debugging, and observability tooling.
Empathetic, collaborative and open to feedback, you care about how you work as much as what you deliver.
A clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to different audiences.
Benefits & conditions
At Dignity, you'll do work that has genuine meaning, building technology that supports colleagues, strengthens services, and helps us deliver the best possible care for families. You'll join a team that values quality, respect, and integrity, where people collaborate openly, learn from one another, and take pride in building software that is reliable, secure and thoughtfully delivered.
