We are seeking a Software Engineer (Experienced or Senior Level) based in Bristol or Fleet to support Defence and Security domains at Boeing locations and Customer sites across the UK, including Autonomous Systems, Training and Simulation, Cyber, Space, Intelligence and Security.
As a consequence of our growing business we have a number of exciting career opportunities within our Software Engineering Capability, which is responsible for the Research and Development of Advanced Technology and the Design, Development and Certification of our Software systems and sub-systems.

- Reviewing, analyzing, and translating customer requirements into initial design of software products.
- Developing, documenting and maintaining architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products.
- Debugging and resolving issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software products.
- Handling user inquiries, troubleshooting technical issues and user feedback analysis.
- Implementing current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks and changes in regulations relevant to software development.
- Developing, establishing, monitoring and improving software processes, tools and key performance metrics that align projects with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.
- Performing software project management activities and software supplier management functions.
- Providing feedback to junior developers through code reviews and helping guide them in best practices with well documented code and development processes.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- Ability to obtain security clearance.
- Open to occasional travel., * 5+ years of experience working as a Software Developer or a similar role.
- 5+ years of Experience across Software Development Lifecycle and Software standards such as ISO9001.
- Experience in developing and applying continuous improvement to process and productivity for Software.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, .Net, XAML).
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and software design principles.
- Understanding of Microsoft WPF and MVVM design patterns.
- Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and API integrations.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience with front-end frameworks.
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
- Familiarity with DevOps, Automation and CICD concepts.
- Understanding of testing frameworks and unit testing practices.
Level 4 (Senior Software Engineer)
- 10+ years of experience working as a Software Developer or a similar role.
- 10+ years of Experience across Software Development Lifecycle and Software standards such as ISO9001.
- 8-10 years of experience in developing and applying continuous improvement to process and productivity for Software.
- Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to develop, communicate and inspire staff.
- Knowledge of customer behaviours, needs and expectations.
- Ability to lead a team/discipline to quickly resolve complex problems.
- Ability to build and maintain broad network of business relationships.
