Job description

A Global Investment Bank is seeking an Assistant Vice President, IT Infrastructure Project Manager to deliver Business-as-Usual infrastructure change and service improvement initiatives across its Digital Engineering Services & Solutions function. The role focuses on enhancing infrastructure operations, improving service quality, and ensuring controlled, efficient delivery within the Corporate Technology division.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead BAU infrastructure change and service improvement projects across servers, networks, cloud, and platform services.
  • Maintain and manage the BAU change pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, workload visibility, and alignment to capacity.
  • Work with Infrastructure Architects, Product Owners, and Service Owners to scope requirements and baseline delivery plans.
  • Produce analysis, business cases, and clear recommendations based on technical and operational considerations.
  • Ensure all infrastructure changes meet compliance, risk, and governance standards (SOX, operational resilience, third-party risk).
  • Oversee technical resource planning, service transition, operational readiness, and smooth project closure.
  • Drive governance through RAID management, milestone tracking, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Coordinate supplier onboarding, contract/NDA/SOW management, and third-party governance with Procurement and Legal.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering IT Infrastructure and Service Operations BAU projects.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure environments (servers, networks, cloud, platforms).
  • Delivery experience across SDLC/PDLC using both agile and waterfall.
  • Solid governance skills: budgeting, forecasting, RAID management, reporting.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS Office, Jira, Confluence.
  • Project management certifications (Prince2, PMI, APMP) desirable.
  • Financial services experience advantageous.
