Economist / Data Scientist

• Lead applied economics research projects in close collaboration with the center directors;
• Automate the production of research results in close collaboration with the UNIL Computing and Research Support Division (DSCR);
• Participate in applied economics research mandates on behalf of public institutions or companies;
• Contribute to the training of young researchers in data science applied to economic research

• Master's in quantitative economics or data science; 3+ years experience.
• Proficiency in R, Python, and MATLAB for data science.
• Strong communication skills in French and English., * Master's degree in quantitative economics, data science, or equivalent field;
• Experience in applied economics research, macroeconomic and econometric modeling as well as data science (minimum 3 years post-master);
• Strong knowledge in these scientific fields;
• Ability to work independently on multiple projects and different topics in parallel;
• Excellent command of tools used in data science, macroeconomic modeling, and econometrics (R, Python, MATLAB);
• Excellent written and oral expression in French and English.
