Job description

This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a Document Controller who wants to accelerate their career into management. You'll be stepping into a role with clear, structured progression and the chance to ultimately lead the Document Control function.

This position isn't just another Document Controller job it's a pathway to becoming the Document Control Manager within a respected and thriving construction business, specialising in drylining. With the current post-holder taking a year out to travel from June 2026, the company is looking for an exceptional individual who can take ownership, grow with the role, and genuinely make it their own.

Initially you will be based on a live, fast paced construction project working as a Document Controller. With four days a week on site and working from home on Fridays.

You will be working on a project with a very demanding client and so you will need to be highly organised, sharp and work with initiative. You will need a keen eye for detail, a desire to succeed in your career and ambition to take a step up.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Document Controller on a live construction project
  • Proficient with Asite, Fieldview, Microsoft 365, and Adobe
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with site and office teams
  • Able to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively
  • CSCS card (advantageous but not essential)
  • Understanding of social value in construction or experience with community liaison is a bonus
