Security Assurance and Risk Architect

Security Architect - DV Cleared - North West Contract | £650 per day | Outside IR35 | Start: January | On-site minimum 3 days per weekOur client is increasing its specialist security capability to support a major programme and is seeking a Security Architect / Security Assurer with deep experience across security assurance, risk management, and security testing governance.This role extends beyond traditional architecture design and focuses on end-to-end security assurance, test planning, risk oversight, compliance validation, and operational readiness assessments. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure that systems meet stringent security requirements prior to deployment.Mandatory- Security Assurance, Security Architecture, or Security Consulting background- Hands-on delivery capability - not strategic-only- Proven experience with risk registers, compliance validation, and secure configuration baselines- Strong understanding of penetration testing, remediation

planning, and security test governance- UK Defence or MoD project experience strongly preferred- DV preferred (or SC with ability to progress)Engagement Model- Minimum 3 days per week on site in Preston (air-gapped environment)- Outside IR35 | £650/day- Jan start available- DV Clearance required
