Job description

The Role We are looking for an experienced Senior SQL Server DBA to manage mission-critical data infrastructure for major UK brands. This is a fully remote opportunity to join a collaborative technical team, delivering high-performance database solutions across diverse client environments., + Core DBA: Administer, secure, and upgrade SQL Server environments.

  • Performance: Expert-level tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • High Availability: Implement and manage Always On, Clustering, and Log Shipping.
  • Strategy: Provide technical leadership and guidance to client teams.
  • Automation: Utilize PowerShell and T-SQL to refine processes.
  • Support: Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rota.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in SQL Server Infrastructure & Administration.
  • Strong experience with HA/DR solutions (Availability Groups, Clustering).
  • Proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge of Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and migration strategies.
  • Bonus: Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MySQL.
