Job description

As a Product Owner, you'll be at the centre of shaping how thousands of colleagues learn, grow, and develop their skills every day. This isn't just about building tools-it's about creating experiences that empower our people to gain knowledge, adapt to change, and deliver better outcomes for millions of customers.

You'll own the product vision and delivery, acting as the key link between stakeholders and delivery teams. Every product you help create or improve will be user-focused, strategically aligned, and designed to unlock potential-helping colleagues build the skills they need for today and the future.

If you're passionate about digital transformation, agile delivery, and want to work on products that make learning accessible and impactful, this is your opportunity to make a difference where it truly matters.

What You'll Do

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted partner within delivery teams.
  • Understand colleague needs, learning goals, and the wider organisational context to design solutions that truly make a difference.
  • Own and develop product strategies that enable skills growth and align with organisational objectives.
  • Create product roadmaps that prioritise features supporting learning, development, and career progression.
  • Manage product backlogs, ensuring clarity, prioritisation, and acceptance of user stories that enhance colleague experience.
  • Develop strategies to capture and track user feedback, benefits realisation, and service performance, using insights to continuously improve learning journeys and product design.
  • Manage supplier performance to ensure delivery meets agreed standards and supports our learning vision.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality digital products that empower colleagues to learn and grow.
  • Invest in personal and team growth-champion simplicity, inspire confidence, and build trust while encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • An experienced Product Owner/Product Manager who is passionate about delivering innovative products as part of large and complex organisation.
  • Strong experience working in Agile, multi-disciplinary delivery teams, with the ability to champion user-centred design and continuous improvement.
  • Skilled at building trusted relationships and working collaboratively across teams and organisations to deliver impactful solutions at pace.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and inspire.
  • Significant experience with tools such as Jira and Confluence, and a willingness to learn new technologies and practices.
  • A growth mindset-someone who invests in their own development and supports others to build confidence and capability.

Benefits & conditions

We offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual performance-related bonus
  • Share schemes including free shares
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
  • 30 days' holiday, with bank holidays on top
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
