Job description

The IT team at Auto Integrate/Fleetio is expanding and has an opportunity for a Systems Administrator to join our team in the United Kingdom. In this role, you'll be responsible for keeping Auto Integrate's IT systems running smoothly for our UK-based team, while partnering closely with the US-based Fleetio IT and Security group to support a growing, distributed workforce.

This is a hands-on, operational role that blends end-user support, systems administration, and ownership of on-prem infrastructure. You'll be a key point of contact for day-to-day IT needs in our Portsmouth office and play a critical role in ensuring our people have reliable, secure, and well-supported technology.

This role offers hybrid flexibility with on-site work required at our Portsmouth office.

Who you are

You're a practical, service-minded IT professional who enjoys being close to the work and solving real problems for people. You're comfortable acting as the primary IT contact for a local office, while also collaborating with a global team on shared systems and standards.

You balance responsiveness with structure - keeping systems secure and well-documented, while making technology easy and reliable for your teammates. You're equally comfortable troubleshooting an end-user issue, managing infrastructure, or coordinating with vendors to keep things running smoothly.

Your impact

  • Provide frontline IT support for UK-based team members, troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and access issues
  • Own employee onboarding and offboarding in the UK, including laptop setup, access provisioning, hardware returns, and secure device wiping
  • Administer Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, user accounts, groups, permissions, and licensing
  • Manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) user and device administration
  • Own and maintain office and on-prem infrastructure, including servers, virtual machines, firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, VPNs, NAS, and related hardware
  • Support network and VPN administration, diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues for office-based and remote team members
  • Perform routine operational IT tasks such as patching, backups, updates, and basic domain administration
  • Maintain accurate hardware and asset inventories, managing procurement, lifecycle tracking, audits, and secure disposal
  • Coordinate with vendors and partners on hardware, licensing, renewals, and escalated support issues
  • Partner closely with Fleetio's US-based IT and Security team on shared tools, projects, and overflow support
  • Work with IT and Security leadership to ensure systems remain secure, compliant, and aligned with company standards

Requirements

Do you have experience in Product management?, * 5+ years of experience working in an IT systems, infrastructure, or systems administrator role

  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
  • Windows endpoints and device management tools (such as NinjaOne, Intune, or similar)
  • Experience supporting office-based and on-prem infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, firewalls, Wi-Fi, and VPNs
  • Comfort providing end-user support and acting as a primary IT contact for a local office
  • Experience managing IT hardware inventories and asset lifecycles
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a distributed, global team
  • Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to provide regular on-site support in Fleetio's Portsmouth, England office

Considered a plus

  • Experience working in a hybrid or multi-entity organization
  • Familiarity with security best practices, access controls, and identity governance
  • Experience coordinating with managed service providers or Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) partners
