We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Cloud Project Manager
The purpose of the Cloud Project Manager role is to lead and oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of cloud initiatives within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) sector. This position is critical in ensuring that cloud projects align with business objectives, optimize financial resources, and implement effective risk and control measures.
The Cloud Project Manager will facilitate collaboration across teams, drive innovation, and ensure successful adoption of cloud technologies, ultimately enhancing the organization's operational efficiency and competitive edge in a dynamic market
In this role you will:
- Develop and execute project plans that outline objectives, timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to design, implement, and optimize cloud-based solutions, ensuring they meet technical specifications and business requirements.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with cloud projects, implementing effective controls to safeguard project outcomes and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Ensuring teams operating in the cloud conform to the HSBC governance process. Identifying areas where teams are in violation of the governance process and guiding them through the process of fixing their violations
- Analysing the costs and usage of the cloud and producing reports using SQL and reporting tools to highlight areas of concern and present results of analysis to cloud teams to guide them through improvements
Requirements
- Strong experience in Cloud technologies, ideally with certification as a Cloud Architect or other relevant cloud certification.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization, with strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Solid background in IT Agile/DevOps, preferably with experience using cloud development tools and Python and a good understanding of infrastructure management and application design
- Strong knowledge and experience of delivering Cloud computing projects with exposure to Agile methodologies and other methodologies like Kanban.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills across business and IT, assisting in continuous improvement and in enhancing project team methodology and performance within Global teams across multiple time zones
