Job description
As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in driving technical excellence across multiple teams while remaining hands-on in software development. You'll lead high-impact projects from concept to delivery, shape architecture, and align technical direction with business strategy. Working closely with Tech Leads, Product Managers and the wider Engineering Group, you'll set the standard for quality, mentor engineers across teams and champion initiatives that raise the engineering bar including the adoption of AI tools and automation.
- Provide mentorship, constructive feedback and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Work closely with Product, QA, and Team Leads to align on strategy and execution
- Shape product decisions alongside Product Managers and Designers
- Ensure clear, open communication in remote, hybrid, and in-person settings
- Establish and uphold coding standards and best practices
- Identify and mitigate risks, addressing challenges proactively
- Stay hands-on in software development, guiding engineers at a technical level
- Work with fellow Lead Engineers to ensure alignment on technical direction and innovation
Requirements
Do you have experience in Software development?, * Proven experience in technical leadership
- Extensive commercial experience with C#/.Net/.Net Core/React
- Experience with RESTful API design and Azure cloud development (cloud-first approach)
- Proficient in SQL and dedicated to maintaining high code quality through comprehensive testing
- Strong technical background in modern software development practices and scalable system architecture
- Ability to manage cross-functional projects, collaborating effectively with Product, QA, and other stakeholders

- Third stage: 60 minute Code Pairing with 2x of our Lead Engineers
- Final stage: 60 minute Case Study with Product & Engineering + 60 minute Good to Great Interview with our CTO (onsite)
