Job description
- Develop and implement a deep learning model that estimates meteorological visibility from camera images
- Define the requirements for the model together with stakeholders from the aviation sector
- Compile a data set for training and evaluation
- Train, evaluate and improve models step-by-step
- Collaborate on setting up the productive inference environment
- Document and present the results achieved, As an Innovation Fellow, you will spend a year driving forward a key challenge facing the Federal Administration and independently developing new approaches for more efficient services. You will work on topics with a direct impact, use your tact and sensitivity in dealing with stakeholders, and at the same time benefit from interesting conditions, valuable contacts and real opportunities to shape the future. Requirements
Do you have a Doctoral degree?, * Completed university degree or doctorate in natural sciences or engineering
- Practical experience with the implementation of deep learning (DL) models (development with PyTorch, adaptation and fine-tuning of pre-trained models)
- In-depth knowledge of relevant DL techniques (especially Vision CNNs and Transformers)
- Ideally, experience with the productive operation of models (MLops)
- Independent and solution-oriented work
- Good knowledge of at least one official language and English
