This is an on-site, hands-on role, ideal for someone who loves working closely with colleagues and tackling problems in real-time., * Handle 2nd & 3rd line IT infrastructure incidents and problems via an ITSM platform.

  • Deploy and maintain infrastructure across VMware clusters, SANs, firewalls, switches, and hyper-converged systems.
  • Drive efficiency using automation and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Git, Ansible, PowerShell).
  • Design and deliver IT projects, including new service deployments and automation of updates for customers.
  • Carry out regular patching, upgrades, maintenance and system monitoring to ensure peak performance.
  • Implement and optimise IT security measures and support standards such as ISO 27001.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity initiatives.
  • Manage asset lifecycles, procurement, and supplier relationships.
  • Produce technical documentation and provide end-user training

Requirements

  • Experience managing VMware virtualisation environments
  • Exposure to ISO 27001.
  • Infrastructure certifications (e.g. Network+, Security+, CCNA, VMware Certified Professional).
  • Strong networking experience (routing, IPSec VPN, firewalls, WAN).
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and scripting.
  • Strong Windows & Linux administration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills.
