We seek a highly organised individual with proven experience in software asset management, specifically licence entitlement and compliance management. Strong interpersonal skills and a process-driven approach, including the ability to implement new working practices, are essential. Connect to your opportunity We have a highly unique Software Asset Management opportunity with the chance to work with the latest technology, encouraging innovation while developing best practices to meet the extensive demand from all our UK and Switzerland businesses. This role is far more than licence compliance, it is about driving maximum value against an ever-increasing complex licence modelling environment while leading the collaboration with our IT supporting areas and key business teams to ensure cost optimisation. You will need to both deliver to agreed targets and drive a continuous improvement culture in:

  • Reporting compliance and spend across software estate both internally to IT stakeholders and to the business.
  • Collaboration with internal software asset management teams and across the wider IT operations and security spaces.
  • Identifying and implementing a range of cost saving/avoidance initiatives (including tail spend management).

Requirements

  • Experience in a similar role at a large organisation (c30,000 employees)
  • Extensive experience with Software Asset Management software and tools (such as SNOW and ServiceNow, CMDB, including licencing optimisation)
  • Advising on best practice to optimise existing software assets while reducing cost, commercial, reputational and regulatory risk
  • Experience of managing relationships with value added resellers
  • Ability to lead the oversight and impact assessment of vendor EULA/terms of use
  • Experience of working with global stakeholders
  • Coordination of software license and maintenance agreement reviews
  • Management and successful conclusion of software audits and any remediation plans
