Job description
As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will join our Loughborough team to develop and implement embedded software for advanced test and control systems. You will work with multi-disciplinary teams to model, simulate, and deliver embedded software solutions that drive reliable and efficient test execution., * Develop, implement, and maintain embedded software using Embedded C for test and control systems.
- Model, simulate, and validate system behaviour using MATLAB/Simulink to support embedded software design.
- Collaborate with hardware and test teams to integrate embedded software with system-level architectures.
- Produce clear and detailed software documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and validation reports.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise embedded code to ensure reliable system performance.
- Support continuous improvement in embedded software processes, coding standards, and simulation methodologies.

Requirements
Do you have experience in Software development?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Strong experience in embedded software development using Embedded C.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for modelling and simulation of embedded systems.
- Proven ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Experience producing high-quality technical documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Exposure to real-time systems or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, or energy systems embedded software.
- Knowledge of software lifecycle processes for embedded systems.
- Familiarity with communication protocols, data acquisition, or control systems.
