Job description
As an IT Support Engineer I, you will use your knowledge and specialized skills to implement technical solutions and provide high quality support for computer hardware, operating systems, or enterprise application software across sites in a defined geographical area. You are able to determine when it is appropriate to deviate from a standard practice to accomplish the desired result. You can troubleshoot and solve straightforward problems that do not have defined SOPs. - Ensuring infrastructure networking and computing systems remain available during production hours.
- Interacting with management and staff to provide analytical and technical assistance for continuous improvement of IT solutions.
- Managing local technical projects.
- Maintaining or creating policies, procedures, and processes.
- Identifying root-causes of operational issues and process inefficiencies.
- Supporting customers from multiple buildings in the area, as well as remote customers.
- Traveling within your local or regional area to support our customers.
- Physical requirements: lifting up to 49 lbs, standing, walking, and frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching during shifts lasting up to 12 hours.
Requirements
- 1+ year of Windows Server technologies: AD, DFS, Print Services, SCCM experience.
- 2+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment.
- 2+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment, and liquidation experience.
- 1+ year of IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
- 2+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
- 2+ years of corporate setting Windows, Mac or Linux operating systems support experience.
- 2+ years of supporting and maintaining a corporate network environment.
- High school or equivalent diploma.
- Ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of computer networking experience.
- Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment.
