Job description

Our Client are industry leaders in providing independent, sustainable fire and security solutions across a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and government. Due to continued business growth, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality projects from inception through to completion, while upholding our standards of safety, integrity, and professionalism. This is a pivotal role that offers a blend of leadership, technical oversight, commercial management, and mentoring, with the opportunity to shape key project outcomes.

Project Manager Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of fire systems projects, from initial planning and budgeting through to final delivery and project closeout
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, clearly defining objectives, roles, timelines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate day-to-day project operations, ensuring progress aligns with scope, deadlines, and quality expectations
  • Identify potential risks early and implement effective mitigation strategies to maintain project stability
  • Take full ownership of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability tracking
  • Facilitate collaboration between internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless execution
  • Ensure all projects meet relevant safety regulations, legal compliance, and industry standards
  • Maintain regular communication with clients and leadership to provide updates, manage expectations, and address challenges proactively
  • Conduct post-project reviews to capture learnings and promote continuous improvement across the team
  • Support, mentor, and develop junior staff, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices in project delivery

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in Project management software?, * Significant project management experience within the fire systems or fire safety industry

  • Proven ability to lead multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of delivery
  • Strong understanding of on-site Health & Safety practices, with the ability to enforce compliance and safe working environments
  • Familiarity with CDM regulations and experience acting as Principal Contractor (preferred)
  • Excellent budget management and commercial reporting skills, with a focus on delivering profitable outcomes
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong relationships at all levels
  • In-depth technical knowledge of fire systems, compliance standards, and industry regulations
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities and a calm, decisive approach under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software/tools
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to achieve results independently and as part of a team
  • FIA Qualifications

Benefits & conditions

  • £45,000 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience & qualifications
  • Overtime available at increased rate
  • Travel Pay
  • Full-Time, Permanent, Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
