Job description
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll join a collaborative, agile, product-focused engineering team working at the heart of our Cloud Platform. You'll contribute to designing, building and improving our cloud security and network products, as well as supporting the day-to-day operation of existing services.
You will:
- Write and review secure Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
- Provide operational support for existing products, including incident management and customer requests
- Develop and test new product features
- Manage workload through Jira
- Automate processes and leverage AI to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Identify opportunities for service and platform improvement
- Support roadmap planning and contribute to product direction
- Invest in your own development and continuous learning
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to an inclusive, learning-oriented culture
- Step in for the Lead Engineer when required
Requirements
- Deep expertise in at least one relevant product or technology area (e.g., Firewalls), and the ability to rapidly build capability in others
- Strong understanding of secure-by-design principles and alignment to industry best practice
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen, challenge and collaborate effectively
- The ability to work closely with product owners and teams to shape effective solutions
- Awareness of technical constraints, bottlenecks and environmental factors - with the drive to resolve them quickly
- Experience working within agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and automation
- A passion for automating everything
- Curiosity about emerging technology and a desire to continuously improve solutions and team capability
