Job description

We're thrilled to be working with this impressive fintech business, experiencing significant change and growth who are recruiting for a highly skilled Azure Security Engineer.

This newly created position is focused on addressing cloud and application vulnerabilities across a large scale Azure estate. Through a combination of hands on execution and collaboration with an impressive team of Engineers you'll play a key role improving security across both code and infrastructure.

Our client's working arrangements require three days per week in the office.

About the Opportunity

As a senior technical figure within the security team you'll play a key role in safeguarding their cloud infrastructure and contributing significantly to their security strategy, ensuring the highest possible level of protection for the business.

Supporting the security leadership you'll focus on remediation, tackling a significant portfolio of tasks across security control, risk policies and compliance requirements.

Your natural curiosity means you will proactive identify opportunities for improvement, take a hands on approach to improving and automating vulnerability management processes.

Requirements

Bringing a significant track record as either a DevSecOps, Platform Engineer or Security Engineer, you will bring a broad and deep technical understanding of Azure security. Your robust understanding of Azure and Defender for Cloud is essential for this position, as is Defender for Endpoint. You'll bring experience of working closely with engineering and infrastructure teams, owning remediation tasks and improving real-world risk reduction week by week.

In addition to your hands on Azure security skills you'll bring skills in implementing and managing Purview and vulnerability and configuration hardening. A strong understanding of modern software development life cycles, CI/CD and DevSecOps techniques is also essential.

Industry domain experience is a secondary requirement, with technical capability, clarity of communication and a desire to collaborate are most important.
