As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining systems that collect, store and process large volumes of data. You will integrate data from various sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
Working directly with the team and clients, you will deliver data modernisation projects and collaborate with product departments to understand customer requirements. You will implement and maintain security measures to project data integrity and privacy. You could also manage junior members of staff, providing guidance to advance their skillsets., The average salary for a Data Engineer in the South West is around £50,000. - Work within the team and directly with clients to deliver data modernisation and data warehousing projects
- Mentor a small team of junior staff, providing guidance and support to help them grow their skillset
- Adhere to Agile methodologies for designing, developing and accepting data components of software solutions
- Collaborate with the product department to understand customer requirements, gain insights and conduct critical assessments

Requirements
- Degree qualified, or equivalent certification, in an IT-related field
- Working knowledge of technical tools such as Databricks, Python, Power BI, TSQL, ETL, and Agile methodologies
- Experience in deploying Azure solutions using Azure DevOps
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable presenting information in meetings and presentations
- Previous experience of working in data and analytics alongside junior team members
