Job description
- Lead and deliver AI due diligence engagements for Corporate and Private Equity clients, to assess AI capability within target organisations and their ability to deliver the strategy and plan for Technology and AI across buy and sell side engagements.
- Manage client engagements by onboarding the M&A tech team, coordinating the engagement and deliverables with internal peer groups, oversee the engagement and deliverables within the M&A Tech team, ensure timeliness, quality and efficient delivery of high-quality client deliverables and pursuit of follow-on opportunities.
- Support engagements with a focus on assessing client / target AI roadmaps, their internal capability and the maturity and suitability of architecture and data structures to determine scalability and business impact.
- Support the identification and assessment of AI driven technology value creation opportunities e.g., IT synergies, cost savings, revenue growth potential from digital assets, operational efficiencies and wider enterprise savings that are delivered by Technology.
- Lead the development of detailed technology and AI driven change implementation plans, linked to financial benefit tracking to support enterprise-wide value creation plans.
- Provide day-to-day Programme Management support on our engagements assisting Technology workstreams to fulfil their programme objectives and delivery.
- Engage with colleagues and client senior management to drive the completion of key activities, management of risks and issues and facilitation of decision making.
- Develop and communicate a market leading point of view on how technology and AI can deliver value creation opportunities within Technology functions and the wider enterprise.
- Research and analyse IT information including cost data, supplier contracts, licencing agreements and qualitative information.
- Develop your expertise in reporting to senior executives, facilitating large workshops, benefits tracking, change control and stakeholder management.
- Develop your consulting skills in strategic thinking, programme and change management with a focus on AI development and implementation.
- Take ownership for quality and risk management, ensuring that all client work is delivered consistently complying with Deloitte quality and risk rules and guidelines.
- Contribute to practice and business development activities e.g. through the development of thought leadership material and/or sales materials and networking across Deloitte and externally.
- Manage diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
- Build and mentor a high-performing M&A team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Support and deliver the development of high-quality transaction documentation e.g. IT integration or separation blueprints, Transitional Service Agreements, status reports, SteerCo reports and papers addressing strategic issues.
Requirements
- Programme management experience in top-tier corporate institution(s) or consulting firm(s) and capacity to assist with the design, development and delivery of numerous programmes or project initiatives.
- Experience in delivering Technology due diligence and providing a point of view on the impacts of AI.
- Knowledge of the M&A process/transaction lifecycle/deal process and various parties within it.
- Experience of financial modelling, valuation and due diligence for M&A transactions.
- Proven track record of delivery of complex technology transactions and strong knowledge of technology markets including AI, cloud computing, software, SaaS, and digital transformation.
- Experience of leading and coaching internal or external project teams.
- Proficiency in delivering change management and transformation initiatives e.g. technology or business process changes.
- Aptitude to critically challenge business plan and underlying assumptions in a logical, evidenced manner.
- Ability to knowledgeably discuss strategy and implications of options with clients.
- Natural ability and instinct to build and maintain trusted relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Strong facilitation and consensus building skills.
- Excellent financial and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Full travel mobility.
Desirable:
- Strong focus and knowledge of a particular business sector, business or functional area.
- Experience of managing technical change programmes.
