Job description

  • Drive the Scrum team to maximize value:
  • Act as coach and facilitator - ensuring team building and Agile education within the squad
  • Facilitate and ensure team is involved in key Agile practices, and facilitate Scrum events, including refinement/grooming/planning, estimation, review, and retro
  • Track and use metrics to analyse squad performance
  • Recommend Agile/Scrum process adjustments to increase the squads' performance, based on metrics; work collaboratively with Product Owner and Engineering on proposed changes
  • Remove impediments
  • Work with Product Owner and Engineering to ensure best allocation of team resources
  • Ensure team has all skills to deliver high quality working software
  • Work with 2 or more Agile squads
  • Review and maintain JIRA board input

Requirements

  • Be the in-house Expert with agile software development methodologies
  • Knowledgeable and supportive of Agile Metrics-driven frameworks

  • Solid problem-solving skills, supported by a logical, methodical and thorough approach to implementation

The ideal candidate

  • Previous experience as Scrum Master
  • In depth knowledge of agile methodology
  • Good skills and knowledge of facilitation, continuous improvement, empowerment, transparency and servant leadership
  • Agile - Scrum Certification
  • Expertise coaching teams in Agile methodology (minimum 3 years)
  • A Batchelors degree in a numerate or scientific subject, or business management, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience with structured project management methodologies (e.g. Agile)
  • Passion with commitment to quality and targets
