Job description

Are you organised, detail-driven and ready to play a vital role in one of the UK's most significant infrastructure projects? Join the Geotechnical Sub Alliance (GSA) on the Sizewell C nuclear power station development and help shape the foundations of a cleaner energy future. Profile About the role: You'll be responsible for leading and managing the document control function across the GSA, ensuring that all project documentation is accurately registered, controlled, and readily accessible throughout the project lifecycle. Acting as the subject matter expert for document management systems, you will oversee the performance and development of the Document Control Team and ensure full compliance with Alliance, Client, and Regulatory requirements. This position works closely with the wider Project Team to support the delivery of a fully assured, high-quality, and traceable information set for Sizewell C., * Maintain document control in line with internal processes and client requirements

  • Support project teams to track deliverables and stay on schedule
  • Manage documentation from early design through to handover
  • Ensure consistent use of document control procedures and systems
  • Attend project meetings and support decision-making with accurate information
  • Oversee business archiving and ensure easy retrieval of project documents
  • Drive continuous improvements to document control processes, As part of a specialist alliance delivering advanced ground-engineering works-including piling, diaphragm walling, soil mixing and grouting-you'll be at the heart of a high-performing technical environment. Requirements

  • Significant experience in document control within the construction or engineering sector.
  • Strong understanding of IT and Microsoft Office applications, including SharePoint.
  • Experience using or administering electronic document management systems (e.g. A-Site, ProjectWise).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Determination to see tasks through to completion with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent understanding of how document control supports wider project operations and decision-making.

Desirable

  • Experience in a senior or supervisory document control role.
  • Experience working within an Alliance or multi-partner delivery environment.
  • Understanding of ISO 19650 and its application to document control.

Driving Licence. * Formal qualification in information management, construction management, or a related discipline. Given the location of our offices, it'd be ideal if you had access to your own vehicle and full UK driving licence.
