Job description

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our team of around 1,700 people worldwide to help us power up the traveller's journey for millions of holidaymakers. If you are passionate about building performant and scalable web applications, enjoy working with modern frontend frameworks and component-driven architectures, and are experienced in delivering reliable user experiences in high-impact domains such as payments and fintech, keep on reading, as you might be the perfect fit for this job., * Working with the Team to break down User Stories into tasks that can be worked on

  • Analysing performance metrics and logs using monitoring tools
  • Updating technical documentation
  • Collaborating with designers, testers, product owners and other developers
  • Conducting and participating in code reviews
  • Evolving and maintaining our websites
  • Performance optimisations
  • Technical reviews

Requirements

Your expertise:

  • Deep understanding of React.js, including its core principles, such as Hooks and state management.
  • Proficiency in: JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3.
  • Experience with: TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js and the NPM ecosystem, Testing frameworks, especially Jest.
  • Git, git-flow and version control best practices.
  • Communicative English

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Ai coding assistants like Claude Code
  • Practical knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of CSS-in-JS libraries or frameworks.
  • Understanding of Next.js server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and API routes.
  • Familiarity with testing tools like React Testing Library, Playwright, or Cypress.
  • Browser, Server and CDN Caching Techniques.
