Requirements
Day-to-day you'll be hands-on writing clean, maintainable HTML, CSS and JavaScript, building responsive components and pages that perform well across devices and assistive technologies. You'll collaborate on design systems and component libraries, implement A/B tests and telemetry hooks, and troubleshoot cross-browser issues. Pragmatic engineering, attention to detail and a willingness to pair with colleagues to solve problems will be important to keep our site fast, accessible and conversion-focused.
We operate across peak trading periods which include evenings and weekends to support campaign launches and promotions, so flexibility to contribute during these windows will be required. We value healthy work-life balance and aim to be fair with working patterns where possible, while recognising the need to support the business during key trading moments.

We're looking for a Front End Developer who is customer obsessed, quality driven and pragmatic. You should be able to translate designs into performant, accessible code and interpret performance and behavioural data to prioritise improvements. A proactive, collaborative attitude will help you thrive.
Ideally you'll have experience with modern front-end tooling and frameworks (for example React or similar), solid knowledge of semantic HTML and CSS (including responsive layouts), and competence in JavaScript (ES6+). Familiarity with build pipelines, code versioning (Git), performance optimisation, accessibility best practice (WCAG) and basic SEO is desirable.
