IT Controls Analyst

The Audit & Risk Recruitment Company are working with a growing Retail business to help them identify a talented IT Controls Analyst. The role is based within the Group IT Risk and Control Team, and will help deliver continuous improvement into the company's IT Controls testing and compliance activities. The team operates as a 2nd line function which involves working very closely with IT colleagues, Control Owners, and Operators to deliver and manage IT controls, assess technology risks and continually enhance our IT Risk and Control Framework, supporting policies and practices. Key ResponsibilitiesConduct controls testing on in scope IT General Controls (ITGC) to determine design and/or operational effectiveness of controls in line with internal methodology and to external audit standard. Provide training and development to control owners and operators, along with ensuring training materials are up to date. Support with the management of the test schedule using ServiceNow to ensure controls are tested in priority order and adjustments are made as the overall risk profile changes across the IT landscape. Inform stakeholders of improvement opportunities and control weaknesses, providing actionable feedback and recommendations. Candidate RequirementsAt least 2-3 years of experience working within an IT controls testing programme. Confident in all aspects of IT General Controls design and test across access, change and operations domains.
