Job description

  • Develop go to market offerings, centered on F&O, that enable our clients to drive business value from their Microsoft investment based on industry insights

  • Develop deep relationships and build engagement through our industry and account teams

  • Bring your transformation experience to define and build technology solutions that address client challenges

  • Demonstrate thought leadership and become a trusted advisor to the CIO, COO, CFO and other key decision makers

  • Be accountable for all aspects of our delivery lifecycle - from developing opportunities, through deal shaping and commercial negotiations, into leading end-to-end programmes

  • Assess and understand requirements to recommend the optimal technology solutions to address client needs. Understand how Microsoft's broader product eco-system extends F&O (PowerPlatform, Fabric, etc.) meets these needs

  • Demonstrate flexibility to work on a range of related engagements including business case development, client-side assurance, and vendor selection

  • Support our clients shape and deliver their transformation agenda

  • Develop internal business transformation capability in Deloitte UK Microsoft D365 F&O team, through developing and leading the team, demonstrating role model behaviours, including engaging clients in solving business problems

  • Build effective relationships across the UK and Global Deloitte Microsoft network

As a Microsoft D365 Business Architect / Delivery Director, you will play a key role shaping and building our Microsoft D365 F&O practice in the UK, you will help our clients transform the way they run and manage their business, you will use your expertise to build and develop our internal capability. The role provides the opportunity to support our global strategic clients address their most important business challenges alongside building a successful team.

You will play a key role supporting C-level executives define the solution architecture and roadmap to shape the future operations and finance function.

You will provide a unique perspective combining industry insight, knowledge of Microsoft enabled business transformation, cloud adoption and disruptive digital enablers to deliver value to our clients. You will use your knowledge of business process, Information Model and Microsoft technologies to design solutions and future products and services, influencing critical business architecture and value decisions.

You will use the extensive experience you have gained though-out your career to build and develop our internal capability, assess training needs and be a role model to our emerging talent, demonstrating how you engage and work with clients to solve their most complex business problems.

Requirements

  • Extensive demonstrable experience with full life-cycle technology implementations
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in ERP implementation methodology and principles
  • Effective listening skills to understand and break down client business problems
  • Ability to share good practice and influence stakeholders on the merits of the solution you propose
  • Demonstrated knowledge of establishing and embedding effective solution governance
  • One of the following: professional qualification is your domain areas e.g. CIMA, ACA, CIPS, BA/BS degree in Computer Science (or related software engineering field), or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability and keen interest to develop talent and build a high-performing team.

Desired:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the current state of the art for automation, continuous integration/deployment and cloud-based delivery models
  • Comfortable talking about technical issues with non-technical team member and to the client leadership team
  • Able to express complex concepts in plain language to reach broader audiences
  • Ability to craft a compelling message and tailor it for a given audience, combining technical expertise with simple, everyday language to deliver a story
  • Demonstrated business domain and/ or industry knowledge
  • Ability to work well with a cross-functional, geographically dispersed team and clients
  • Effective cross-functional project management, communication and stakeholder management
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with a focus on translating business requirements into information models
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and self-direction
  • Experience in consulting or professional services.
