NET Engineer

Job Title: Front-End Developer (React / Node.js) - Contract Location: Remote (Northern Ireland based) Duration: 3-6 Months (initial contract, with potential extension) Day Rate: Competitive / Outside IR35 About the Role We are seeking a talented Front-End Developer with strong commercial experience in and Node.js to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering scalable, user-focused applications-preferably within the fintech or wider financial services sector. You will play a key role in building and optimising front-end applications for a fast-paced environment, collaborating with designers, product owners, and backend engineers to deliver exceptional digital experiences. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and maintain high-quality front-end applications using and Node.js. Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and improvements. Ensure performance, accessibility, and security best practices are embedded in the UI. Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. Contribute to technical discussions and help shape the direction of the front-end architecture. Requirements Strong expertise in (hooks, context, state management, component lifecycle). Solid experience with Node.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+). Previous experience in fintech or financial services highly desirable. Knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices, and integration best practices. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup while staying collaborative. Nice to Have Exposure to TypeScript. Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress).
