Job description

This is a Manchester based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working on ensuring data is reliable, secure, and easy to use. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

About the Role

Our client is building a modern, scalable data platform to support advanced analytics and better decision-making across their travel products.

As a Data Engineer, you will design and build high-quality data pipelines, ensuring data is reliable, secure, and easy to use. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and analytics teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable data pipelines and ingestion frameworks
  • Apply data modelling techniques (including Data Vault)
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security across datasets
  • Troubleshoot and improve existing data pipelines
  • Support analytics teams with data access and insights
  • Contribute to best practices, architecture, and continuous improvement
  • Mentor junior engineers where required

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in data engineering
  • Strong experience with AWS and modern data tools (eg Spark, Kafka, DBT)
  • Solid data modelling skills (Dimensional & Data Vault)
  • Experience building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines
  • Knowledge of data governance, quality, and security best practices
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience in Agile environments
