Job description
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Scrum Master to inspire, coach, and guide Agile teams toward high performance and continuous improvement. In this role, you will act as a servant leader, Agile coach, and subject matter expert, partnering closely with Product Owners, delivery teams, and stakeholders to drive effective Scrum practices and successful outcomes. You will work across multiple teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, helping teams remove impediments, manage dependencies, and deliver high-quality solutions. Your expertise in Scrum and Agile ways of working will play a critical role in fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous learning., Agile Delivery & Facilitation
- Facilitate all core Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are purposeful, engaging, and outcome-focused.
- Coach teams on Scrum roles, events, and artifacts to ensure consistent and effective application of Agile principles.
- Support teams in estimating work, defining sprint goals, and maintaining a sustainable delivery pace.
Team Coaching & Servant Leadership
- Act as a servant leader, empowering teams to become self-organising, cross-functional, and high-performing.
- Identify and remove impediments that impact team productivity, delivery, or morale.
- Foster a psychologically safe environment that encourages open communication, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder & Product Collaboration
- Partner closely with Product Owners to support backlog refinement, prioritisation, release planning, and value-driven delivery.
- Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
- Support transparent communication of progress, risks, and dependencies.
Delivery Management & Dependency Coordination
- Manage and proactively resolve interdependencies across multiple Agile teams to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery.
- Support program-level planning activities, including PI planning or cross-team coordination where applicable.
- Track and communicate delivery metrics (e.g. velocity, predictability, flow) to support data-driven decision-making.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Promote quality-first practices, including definition of done, testing strategies, and continuous integration.
- Support the development and implementation of testing and validation plans to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, root cause analysis, and Agile maturity assessments.
Change & Agile Transformation
- Champion Agile values and ways of working across the wider organisation.
- Support teams and stakeholders through change, helping them adapt to Agile mindsets and practices.
- Contribute to the evolution of Agile frameworks, standards, and best practices within the organisation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile delivery role.
- Strong, hands-on experience with Scrum and Agile delivery frameworks.
- Proven ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and coach teams toward improved performance.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Education
- Associate Degree, College Diploma, or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
Desirable / Bonus Experience
- Strong experience with Agile methodologies beyond Scrum (e.g. Kanban, SAFe, LeSS, or ADM - Distributed Agile Development).
- Experience in Agile Process Coaching or organisational Agile transformation.
- Background in Agile Project or Delivery Management.
- Scrum Master or Agile certifications (e.g. CSM, PSM, SAFe SM) are an advantage.
