Job description

An exciting opportunity for a Data Architect to lead the creation of a brand-new data ecosystem on Google Cloud Platform. This is a genuine greenfield environment where you'll shape the entire data architecture, define governance, and build a scalable platform that will support advanced analytics, AI and future product development. A role for someone who wants full ownership, influence, and the freedom to set the technical direction from day one., * Lead the end-to-end design of a modern data platform using GCP technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow and Pub/Sub.

  • Define and implement data modelling standards (Star, Snowflake, Data Vault) and CI/CD best practices for data pipelines.
  • Build secure, well-governed environments including IAM configuration, data encryption, and lineage tracking.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders and product teams to ensure the platform supports ML/AI innovation.
  • Establish Infrastructure-as-Code foundations using tools such as Terraform.

Requirements

  • Strong experience designing data architectures within Google Cloud Platform is highly advantageous.
  • Hands-on expertise with technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer (or similar), and Cloud Storage. (Desirable)
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go, and an engineering mindset for managing infrastructure as code.
  • Ability to communicate complex architectural decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A forward-thinking, visionary approach to building scalable data ecosystems.
