IT Manager

Working in a highly visible and business-critical position, the IT Manager will take ownership of the organisation's IT environment, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and fit for a fast-paced, engineering-led business. This is a varied role combining hands-on technical involvement with strategic responsibility. You'll work closely with an external Managed Service Provider, managing performance and delivery, while also supporting and developing internal IT capabilities. Whilst enthusiasm and a proactive, hands-on approach are key, it is hoped that the successful IT Manager will have:

• Proven experience in an IT Manager / IT Lead role
• Strong technical background across infrastructure, including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Azure
• Experience managing IT environments across multiple sites
• Experience working with or managing Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and frameworks (e.g., Cyber Essentials Plus)
• Experience managing software vendors and systems (ERP, CAD, SaaS, etc.)
• Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, or R&D environment would be highly beneficial.
