Job description

Join our dynamic Datacenter team as an Infrastructure Engineer (Windows/Azure), where taking charge of maintaining and evolving our Windows and Azure (local) environments. We currently manage over 500 Windows servers and are embarking on exciting projects to improve Azure local, and EntraID. In this role, you will monitor, maintain, patch and upgrade our Windows Systems while ensuring top-tier security hardening and reliability. You will collaborate with application owners and dive into SQL server, Certificates (public and private PKI), Active Directory supporting both modern and legacy systems. Being part of a motivated 14-people Datacenter team, working alongside 4 seasoned Windows experts (each with specific skills).   • System Management: Monitor, maintain, patch and upgrade Windows servers using SCCM.
  • Databases: Monitor, Maintain, patch, and be our primary technical SQL server specialist.
  • Support certificate creation, renewal, and support application teams with certificates.
  • Security: Perform regular system hardening and patching to ensure compliance and protection.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with application owners and other technical teams to ensure system integrity and performance.
  • Automation: Support and enhance infrastructure automation using PowerShell etc.
  • Legacy & Middleware: Assist with legacy systems running applications and support migrations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in infrastructure projects and global initiatives based on your expertise and professional development.

Requirements

  • 5 + years of hands-on experience in a complex Windows, SQL server infrastructure environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with certification of maintenance and renewals
  • Microsoft Entra, Azure and Windows server certification is required.

Must haves

  • Windows Server - Proven, in-depth experience,
  • Active Directory - Proven, in-depth experience,
  • SQL Server - Proven, in-depth (technical) experience,
  • Certificates - Proven, in-depth experience,
  • PowerShell - Strong advantage; experience with automation is a big plus.

Nice to have

  • Storage spaces direct or Netapp,
  • Azure local, maintenance and patching,
  • Azure / EntraID.

  • A gross monthly salary based on the CLA Metalektro Grade L1 and in line with your experience and qualifications,
