Job description

Opportunity to join a massively profitable Private Equity firm that invest in businesses across the finance and insurance space, in an impactful and rewarding Director of Technology Transformation role.

As the Director of Technology Transformation you will lead the design, delivery and governance of various technology transformations across multiple portfolio companies and partners. You'll collaborate with portfolio companies' CTOs and COOs to define technology roadmaps that enable business growth and operational efficiency, providing strategic guidance architecture, engineering practices and emerging technologies, ensuring solutions are both innovative and robust.

You will remain hands-on, contributing to complex design and development efforts where technical leadership and troubleshooting are required and oversee engineering work including POCs, technical investigations, performance diagnostics and deep dives into codebases to validate and accelerate technology solutions, overseeing multiple engineering teams and fostering a culture of technical excellence.

As a senior member of the leadership team you'll collaborate with your peers, key client account contacts and support business development efforts by shaping technical proposals, presenting to senior stakeholders and representing the company at external conferences and forums.

Requirements

  • You're an experienced technology leader within the Private Equity or Advisory, financial services space
  • You have significant experience of leading and contributing to complex engineering programmes or large-scale digital transformations
  • You have a strong technical knowledge of modern software engineering: Cloud Computing, DevOps, Data Platforms, microservices, Python, Java and a strong understanding of technology trends in AI and automation
  • You have experience of diving into unfamiliar codebases or technical environments, diagnosing issues and rapidly proposing solutions
  • You have advanced stakeholder management skills including the ability to influence c-suite decision makers, translating technical strategy into business value
  • You have experience of managing and growing distributed engineering teams, developing talent and delivering excellence
  • You have advanced analytical and problem solving skills
  • You are degree educated in Computer Science (or closely related discipline)
