Job description

Our client is a large consultancy in the UK and are particularly successful working on MoD, Government and Public Sector contracts and are looking to recruit Agile Transformation Consultants at different levels.

You will need experience of agile coaching/facilitating and implementing agile into Defence and/or National Security organisations.

You must also have excellent customer facing skills, ideally within a Consulting environment.

Working Patterns: This is a hybrid role with 2-4 days per week on site dependant on the project. UK travel may be required., * Work with Defence and National Security clients to help them improve their ways of working.

  • Lead the adoption of agile methodologies by coaching, facilitation and delivery stances.
  • Lead and guide cross-functional teams in adopting agile principles and practices.
  • Facilitation of team self-organisation and delivery events as invited.
  • Influence leaders and create flow in enterprise-wide processes such as portfolio management and risk and control.
  • Identify and address any barriers or challenges to delivery, working with teams to overcome obstacles and drive continuous improvement.
  • Share lessons learned with other teams and other clients through the wider practice.
  • Work within diverse teams to create an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution to collective goals.

Requirements

  • An Agile transformation/coaching role within Defence or National Security.
  • Proven experience delivering transformation projects and knowledge of both traditional and agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience shaping programmes, understanding business challenges which you can translate and architect into delivery.
  • Experience working within mature and immature agile teams as a team member or in a lead or facilitating role.
  • Strong coaching and facilitation skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Agile methodologies and certifications, specifically Kanban, Disciplined Agile and/or ICAgile.
  • Knowledge of other methods (e.g. Scrum, SAFe, LeSS, XP) is of interest but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and achieving organisational goals.
  • Experience developing and implementing transformation strategies.
  • Working with portfolio functions to redefine initiatives into outcomes aligned to value streams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ideally within consulting.
