Job description

  • Manage the procurement of a service management maturity service to enable successful onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
  • Be the point of contact for onboarding and transition purposes. Support the organisation to navigate resolutions.
  • Support the Project Manager to ensure scope of project and development activities align.
  • Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of the service management transition, ensuring successful delivery. Create a detailed service transition plan covering governance, scope and risk, ensuring everything aligns with compliance frameworks.
  • Where required, to support the transition of services/capabilities from incumbent supplier to the internal organisation, ensure success in take on of service whether that is on a temporary or permanent basis. Support the development of requirements, design, and capability considerations to ensure effective best practice operation.
  • Develop and manage the service cutover plan, ensuring business continuity and operational readiness.
  • Coordinate closely with service providers to meet all contractual obligations, including the achievement of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Service Management Maturity Improvement: Conduct a detailed assessment of the organisation's current service management maturity using recognised frameworks (e.g., ITIL Maturity Model, CMMI).
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive roadmap for service management maturity enhancement, targeting areas such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Knowledge Management.
  • Embed continual service improvement (CSI) practices to ensure that operational teams consistently enhance service quality and performance.
  • Work with business stakeholders to align process improvements with organisational goals and drive operational excellence.
  • Identify, assess, and proactively manage risks and issues associated with both service transition and maturity improvement. Develop mitigation strategies to minimise operational disruptions and ensure project objectives are met.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring financial accountability and value-for-money outcomes. Allocate and manage resources effectively, ensuring that the project has the necessary capacity and expertise to meet its objectives.

Requirements

You will be improving their service management maturity by embedding best practice with the organisations strategic goals hence why ITIL experience is vital.

The ideal candidate will be leading projects, ensuring effective coordination. You will be coordinating with different stakeholders whilst ensuring the transition is completed successfully with minimal obstacles.

Working Patterns and location - This is a hybrid role with 1 day per week on site., * ITIL experience

  • Previous experience leading the transition of services from incumbent to new suppliers.
  • Strong background in transition planning and delivery.
  • Familiarity with governance frameworks, regulatory requirements and IT policies
