Tractive is a pet technology company that develops GPS trackers for pets, helping owners monitor their pets' location and activity in real-time. Their devices provide live tracking and health insights, ensuring the safety and well-being of pets.
Your territory
As part of our Software team, you will:
- Develop innovative software solutions that have a real-world impact, helping millions of pets stay safe and connected around the globe
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Ruby on Rails, NoSQL databases, and AWS services
- Work with cross-functional teams to meet business goals and project needs
- Shape the overall architecture by working closely with senior team members and architects, ensuring robust design principles
- Promote quality in every aspect of development by implementing best practices in coding, design, and testing
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster a culture of learning
- Stay updated with new technologies and improve development processes
- Bring in your fresh ideas to make Tractive better - you'll never hear the phrase "...because that's how we've always done things"

Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 7+ Years of experience with Ruby on Rails & building scalable apps
- Proficient in NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) & AWS services (ECS, EC2, Fargate)
- Expert in RESTful APIs, Microservices, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker)
- Strong knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English

Benefits & conditions
Just so you know what to expect: For this position, we offer a competitive overpayment based on qualification and experience. Annual gross salary starts at € 75.000 full-time - at Tractive that means a 4-day work week with a 3-day weekend. If you bring relevant experience in many of the fields of responsibility, the salary will be considerably higher.
