Job description

This is a new post that will report to the Digital Training and Testing Manager. This role will plan, develop and deliver the training requirements, ensuring end-users are both confident and competent in using the new EPR. The role will also need to carryout additional training on Trust systems and will support increasing digital confidence across the two Trusts., Deliver the DCS training strategy, ensuring staff receive effective system training and support. Maintain up-to-date training materials, communications, and resources across both Trusts. Develop expertise in relevant clinical systems to train, support, and embed new digital processes. Manage and maintain the DCS Learning Management System, including user access, training bookings, and digital resources. Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., Application Specialists, Integrations). Act as the DCS Training SME, providing guidance to colleagues and end users. Evaluate training effectiveness and report on training activity, feedback, risks, and access issues. Deliver training through a range of channels to meet diverse workforce and learning needs. Ensure trainees can safely and confidently use DCS systems in line with DCB0160 Clinical Safety Standards. Support implementation periods with flexible working and robust documentation (including NHSEI blueprints). Uphold assurance, professional standards, and timely delivery of all training activities.

Requirements

  • PGCE or equivalent teaching/training qualification.
  • Microsoft Office qualification (e.g., ECDL or equivalent at intermediate level).

Training & Teaching Experience

  • Proven experience teaching or delivering training within a work environment.
  • Experience delivering both 1-to-1 training and large-group sessions.
  • Skilled in planning, organising, and delivering structured training programmes.
  • Ability to conduct Training Needs Analyses to identify skills gaps and tailor learning delivery.

Digital & Clinical Systems Knowledge

  • Knowledge of using computerised information systems (e.g., ICE OrderComms).
  • Experience in end-user training and support during a large-scale implementation of a digital or clinical information system.

Learning Design & Materials Development

  • Ability to design effective learning content including manuals, quick guides, handouts, and other instructional materials.
  • Experience in using e-learning technologies and supporting digital learning platforms.

Communication & Influence

  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage a wide range of learners.
  • Ability to influence people, change working methods, and support adoption of new digital processes.
