Job description

  • Implement human-centred programmes that truly activate transformation, driving adoption and delivering tangible business outcomes at pace, with a strong focus on the workforce experience and readiness.
  • Enable the transition to re-imagined ways organisations, teams, and ecosystems collaborate, adapting to the shifting role of humans at work, particularly in the context of AI and emerging technologies.
  • Translate data-driven insights into actionable change strategies to foster productive, engaged, and high-performing workforces, ensuring they are prepared for and embrace new ways of working.

**This is particularly critical in Financial Services, where organisations are grappling with evolving customer expectations, emerging technologies like fintech and Insurtech, and increasing regulatory pressures. **

All our teams within Organisation and Work Transformation (OWT) are also part of wider industry communities. We believe that industry communities help our people build strong networks across our firm and also contextualise our OWT capabilities within specific trends and market dynamics relevant to different industries. This opportunity is for a role in Financial Services.

As an Associate Director in the team, you will work closely with Directors and Partners to play a key role in making a difference by influencing and shaping the strategic development of the team. You will also leverage your commercial experience to build and develop significant new business opportunities for the Firm, focusing on developing senior client relationships within Human Capital and our Financial Services teams. In doing so, you will build a level of eminence in the marketplace that provides a platform to support the Firm's growth ambitions over the long term. You will build high-performing teams around you to support these growth plans.

To be successful in this role, you will be a subject matter expert leading multiple, high-profile projects and bids while developing innovative thought leadership. You will have the opportunity to learn from the best in the business and help recruit top talent.

The technical nature of your Organisation and Workforce design responsibilities is expected to include:

  • Lead AI-Driven Change Programmes: Architect and manage large-scale, human-centred transformation initiatives for Financial Services clients, specifically focusing on the change management and business readiness aspects of AI and emerging technology adoption.
  • Drive Behavioural Change & Adoption: Design and embed effective change management strategies to ensure the successful adoption of AI and other digital technologies, fostering new ways of working and driving desired behavioural shifts across the organisation.
  • Develop Business Readiness Strategies: Create comprehensive business readiness plans, including communication strategies, training programmes, and stakeholder engagement frameworks, to prepare workforces for AI integration and new operating models.
  • Reimagine Future Workflows with AI: Collaborate with clients to re-imagine how organisations, teams, and ecosystems will collaborate, leveraging AI to enhance productivity, engagement, and performance, ensuring a smooth transition for the workforce.
  • Translate AI into Workforce Impact: Articulate the impact of AI, robotics, and cognitive technologies on roles, skills, culture and organisational structures, developing strategies to mitigate risks and maximise opportunities for the workforce.
  • Enable Data-Driven Readiness: Utilise workforce analytics and AI tools to provide actionable insights into workforce capabilities and readiness, informing targeted interventions and ensuring a productive and agile workforce post-AI implementation.
  • Coach Transformation Leaders: Support business leaders in becoming authentic, accountable, and visible transformation leaders, equipping them to champion AI adoption and manage change effectively within their teams.
  • Develop Thought Leadership: Contribute to innovative thought leadership on change management, business readiness, and the human impact of AI, positioning Deloitte as a leader in activating future-ready organisations.
  • Build & Mentor High-Performing Teams: Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams, fostering a culture of inclusion, innovation, and excellence in the delivery of change management and business readiness solutions.
  • Support Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities related to AI-driven change management and workforce readiness, building strong client relationships and contributing to the firm's growth.

Requirements

Overall, your experience should include contributing to large-scale organisation transformation programmes, ideally using traditional and/or agile methodologies with a "digital product and technology enabled" focus.

  • AI Expertise & Impact: A deep understanding of AI, robotics, and cognitive technologies, specifically their implications for workforce transformation, change management, and business readiness in Financial Services.
  • Transformation Leadership: Proven experience leading large-scale organisational transformation programmes, change enablement and adoption, and business readiness for digital and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Change Management Acumen: Extensive experience in designing, implementing, and embedding human-centred change management strategies, including stakeholder engagement, communication planning, training, and behavioural science principles.
  • Financial Services Industry Knowledge: Substantial experience within Banking, Insurance, or Investment and Wealth Management, coupled with a strong grasp of industry trends, regulatory dynamics, and the unique challenges of AI adoption in this sector.
  • Stakeholder Management & Influence: Exceptional communication, facilitation, and influencing skills, with a proven ability to engage and manage senior stakeholders across diverse client scenarios, driving consensus and commitment to change.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyse complex organisational and workforce challenges related to AI, develop data-driven readiness solutions, and translate strategic objectives into actionable change and adoption plans.
  • Organisational Design for Change: Experience in designing work, roles, and organisations in response to digital and AI transformations, ensuring alignment with new operating models and workforce capabilities.
  • Risk Management in Change: Acute awareness of risk management, particularly in managing people, process, system, and commercial risks associated with large-scale technological and organisational change.
  • Innovative & Agile Mindset: A passion for exploring new ideas and technologies, with a track record of driving innovation in change management approaches and adapting to fast-paced, agile transformation environments.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Demonstrated ability to build, coach, and lead high-performing teams, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture focused on delivering impactful change outcomes.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven track record in account development, business relationship building, and identifying opportunities to expand Deloitte's footprint in AI-driven change management.
