If so, join us as an Application Support Analyst , where you'll play a key role in keeping our systems running smoothly and efficiently. This is a Fixed-term Contract opportunity till the 31 st December 2026 .
As an Application Support Analyst you'll be responsible for: Ensuring that our colleagues have access to the tools and systems that they rely upon to deliver services to internal and external customers, by:
Acting as 2nd and 3rd line support for key business systems, and the system and process expert for the business use of these systems.
Working with the IT Service Desk team to share knowledge and best practices, empowering the Service Desk to resolve simple system issues at first contact.
Working with technology and non-technology colleagues to identify and engage with business stakeholders to understand business strategy and demands; participating in user groups aligned to key business systems.
Supporting the Application Support Manager to plan and deliver upgrades and implementations - ensuring appropriate development and test environments are prepared, and release programmes are managed to agreed dates.
You'll join an established and supportive Business Solutions team who are in the midst of delivering several high-profile projects and system upgrades which you'll play an integral part in.
Requirements
Do you have experience in ITIL?, Our ideal candidate: We're seeking a self-motivated and credible professional with the following skills and experience:
You'll hold Degree in a relevant field, alongside an ITIL Foundation qualification or practical experience and an Application Key System Support certification.
You'll demonstrate experience of working as a 2nd and/or 3rd line Analyst or similar role, with exposure to Housing Management applications, particularly Northgate.
You'll demonstrate a background in application configuration, coding and testing, as well as the ability to design, evaluate and implement changes / minor developments and participate in project meetings as the technical SME.
As a smart working organisation, you can expect a balance of working from the office (Birmingham, Bath Row) and from home. Typically, you'll be working from the office 3 days per week and 2 days per week from home.
