Job description
2nd line support technician required - based in Redditch. My client are looking for a bright, motivated individual to join their application support help desk team, within a well-established and progressive company. They specialise in Inventory management and supply chain consultancy, providing a flexible software solution to assist their expert team in delivering solutions to businesses., To take inbound calls and emails
To log, detail, progress and resolve support tickets
To read and troubleshoot server log files
Correctly prioritise and resolve tickets within the SLA
To keep the CRM system and all relevant documentation up to date
Create, troubleshoot and fix SQL queries and scripts
Install new systems, as well as patch & upgrade existing systems
To support the internal laptops, desktops and network equipment
Correctly see all issues through to resolution
Fixing overnight processes
Requirements
Be a fast, willing and adaptable learner
Have excellent communication skills
Previous desktop / application support experience
Basic networking knowledge (IP Addresses, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, etc)
Knowledge of different VPN software and establishing VPN connections
Microsoft SQL server and ability to write SQL queries and scripts
Microsoft windows server and desktop operating systems
API Connectors Knowledge
Internet information services skillset
Candidate will aim to have SQL or similar qualification within 6 months
